2023 Acura MDX vs 2022 Acura MDX
Serving Hoffman Estates, IL
The Acura MDX delivers the smooth power and premium features you want from your next SUV, adding the extra functionality of a third row of seats. The MDX's fourth generation hit the market in 2022 and was enhanced with bumper-to-bumper updates. Because of these extensive improvements last year, the 2023 Acura MDX has only a couple of additional updates. For the 2023 model year, the MDX now includes a 3-year subscription to AcuraLink Services and complimentary maintenance for 24,000 miles or two years. What else should you know about the current MDX?
Performance
The two well-engineered powertrains offered for the 2022 MDX continue to be available for the 2023 model year. A 3.5-liter, V6, 290-horsepower engine connects to a 10-speed automatic transmission in most trim levels. This equipment comes with front-wheel drive, but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive. The MDX's top two trims have a turbo 3.0-liter, V6, 355-horsepower engine for both years. With this engine, the MDX also has all-wheel drive, Brembo brakes, and an adaptive sport-tuned air suspension system.
Appearance
The 2022 Acura MDX has a decadent yet athletic look that carries up to the 2023 model year without changes. The confident profile has subtle curvature, and this balances with a linear accent streaming over the upper door panels. Close to the bottom of the side doors, an additional chrome bar adds personality. Across the front, the pentagon grille and lower fascia are highlighted by a vertical crease. Flanking the grille, a premium LED bar accents the slender headlights. Below the headlights, tall, curved air vents and triangular foglight ports complete the look.
Features
You will discover no changes when you check out equipment in the MDX between the 2022 and 2023 trims. Some or all of the trims include leather upholstery, a head-up display, a surround-view camera, a household power outlet, heated first and second-row seats, an ELS Studio audio system, second-row captain's chairs, massaging front seats, and other gear. Safety tech offered across all trims for 2022 and 2023 includes rear cross-traffic sensing, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control.
